DOCTOR OF MINISTRY

The Doctor of Ministry degree is distinguished from academic doctorates such as the PhD in that it primarily focuses on the practice of ministry.  The purpose of this program is to lead one to enhanced capacities for shaping the spirituality and mission of those under one’s care. Through biblical, historical, and theological study, the student is led to a deeper personal spirituality, greater vision for God’s mission through the church to the contemporary world, and focused understanding of God’s intent for one’s ministry.

The Doctor of Ministry in Missional and Spiritual Formation is designed to equip followers of Christ who seek to be spiritually formed, live missionally in the world, and are capable of leading and training those in their spiritual care to fully participate in missio dei (God’s mission for creation).  ICS offers this degree through the Hazelip School of Theology.
