Rule 31 Mediation Training Program - 2014

The Institute for Conflict Management at Lipscomb University offers civil mediation training with its team of nationally-recognized professors three times per year and family mediation training each summer.  Each offering/training period extends over two weekends - attendance is required at both sessions to complete the required 40 hours. Thursday evening sessions are 5:30 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and include dinner.  Friday/Saturday sessions are 8:30 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. and include breakfast and lunch. 

There are FOUR sessions of Rule 31 Civil Mediation Training in 2014:

  • January 9-11 & 23-25 (complete)
  • March 13-15 & 27-29 (complete)
  • July 31-Aug 2 & Aug 7-9
  • October 2-4 & 16-18


Rule 31 Staff Coordinator: Brian Bailey

Brian Bailey, ICM's Rule 31 Coordinator, is passionate about helping people through change. Brian has a B.A. in Counseling and a M.A. in Conflict Management and has helped individuals in families and teams successfully navigate change. More recently, Brian has helped local governing bodies in Nashville and Knoxville, Tennessee, manage conflicts brought about by change of policies, procedures, and leadership.
