The Hazelip School of Theology offers several graduate programs that equip our students in different ways. The best program fit depends upon numerous factors, including your personal goals, your intended pace for completion, online and on campus learning availability, areas of training interest and other vocational aspirations. Many of these questions are explored as you move through the application process with us.

Hazelip also allows for lateral transfer of credits between programs. If your desires shift in your educational journey, we can easily change degree paths and will ensure you receive the maximum benefit of your credits already earned in light of your revised program choice.

  • Doctor of Ministry
    Doctor of Ministry

    As a terminal degree in our field, the D.Min. is best understood as a professional doctorate for ministry practitioners. Be challenged in your own formational journey as a leader of your community and contribute a meaningful resource to the world of the church through your original research focused on the practices of ministry.

  • Master of Divinity
    Master of Divinity

    Grow in your knowledge of Scripture and the theological traditions of Christianity across the world. Learn to share those resources with others in meaningful ways that support lives of faith in your community and engage the world around you. All the while you will undergo and appreciate your own personal formation as you learn to lead others in transformative change.

  • Master of Theological Studies
    Theological Studies

    Broaden your theological and historical knowledge within our Christian tradition. Develop reasoning skills that will prove useful in conversation and advanced academic studies. You'll also find it easier to advance your career within academia, ministry, or even Christian publishing.

    B.A. in Pastoral Leadership & M.A. in Pastoral Studies

    In today’s world, effective ministry involves more than just knowledge. The needs of those you serve are often complex and change over time. Enter the world of ministry with more training and experience than a standard ministry program. Through this cost-effective and convenient pathway, you will earn both your bachelor’s and master’s degrees while in residence at Lipscomb University.

    Whether you are experienced in ministry or just starting out on the adventure, the MACM provides a good toolkit for your work and enhances your pastoral presence and leadership. This program is also offered within our Competency-Based Education program through 4 certificates to combine into a full masters degree.”
