Position: Instructional Design and Technology (IDT)
Reports to: Associate Provost for Academic Administration and Strategic Initiatives
Lipscomb University is seeking an Instructional Designer to assist and support faculty and teaching staff in the development of appropriate teaching and learning strategies and applications in an online and hybrid learning environment. This position for Instructional Design and Technology (IDT) will be assigned to primarily work with the College of Professional Studies on its competency-based degree programs.
This position is housed in the Center for Teaching and Learning and works within a collaborative, team-based environment and coordinates activities with other CTL staff and the College of Professional Studies leadership. May have some supervisory responsibility for work-study students assigned for support.
Qualifications and Experience: A bachelor’s degree is required (master’s degree preferred) and a minimum of three years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience in Instructional Design that includes distance learning or virtual classroom experience. Advance skills with web tools, demonstrated skills in the application of instructional technology and interpersonal communication, in an academic setting are required.
