H1N1 and Seasonal flu shots available on campus
A Flu Shot Clinic is scheduled for Tuesday, Dec. 8 from 11 a.m. - 5 p.m. on the main level of Bennett Campus Center (across from Starbucks). Seasonal flu shots will be available for $18 each. H1N1 shots are free. You may get both shots at the same time. Students may charge the fee to their Lipscomb accounts. Faculty and staff may pay with cash or check.
H1N1 and seasonal flu vaccinations are also offered at other times in the University Health Center, located in the lower level of Elam Hall. Shots are available on a first-come, first-served basis as long as supplies last.
The seasonal flu vaccination should not be confused with the H1N1 vaccination and will not provide protection against H1N1 flu. Students, faculty and staff are encouraged to get vaccinated to reduce their chances of getting both seasonal flu and H1N1 flu and to increase their chances of remaining healthy throughout the school year.
