Summertime on Campus

Everyone thinks that when the students leave in May, everyone in the College of Business is done until the students get back in August.  At least I believed that when I was in school.  The buzz of all the students is definitely missing on campus but the faculty, staff and all the visitors still make quite a bit of noise.

Summer classes are in full swing, camps of all sorts are in Swang and all over campus, concerts, seminars and other events fill every building.  We have had faculty, staff and students all over the world serving God and learning. We are planning for a growing number of business school students in 2012 -13.

I would like to ask you to be looking for some major announcements coming soon that I cannot reveal yet.  Over the next few weeks and months Dean Stevens will reveal plans that will make us all proud to be a part of the College of Business at Lipscomb University family.

Summertime on campus is different, but it is not relaxing and is not boring.  I have had one observation this summer that I would like to share with you. The faculty and staff in the College of Business desire to do something special.  I believe God has put on the hearts of everyone here, starting with the Dean and administration, the desire to move forward in a very significant way.  God can be seen everywhere in Swang as these plans are being made and something special is going to be produced..  I would ask that you pray for the plans being made and the people implementing those plans.  We would ask that you help us by being involved in some way.

If you want to know more about specifics call me.  No promises that I will reveal the plans but we can talk about it.  God Bless you, your family and the plans you have for the summer.
