The Master of Education in English Language Learning is a unique program that will enable you to earn the master's and teaching licensure in English as a Second Language. The program will provide you with core coursework in initial licensure or advanced educational coursework and a specific and targeted curriculum in teaching English language acquisition. The program examines the theory and practice of English language instruction for non-native speakers with a particular focus on the importance of culture and environment for this fast-growing population.
The program can be completed in 18 months or so, and is designed to fit your busy schedule with classes on weeknights, Saturdays, online and during the summer. Candidates may also choose to add the license in ESL without engaging in the full master's program.
