Adult Degree Scholarships
We are excited that you have chosen to pursue your education at Lipscomb. We have multiple options available for our Adult Degree students when it comes to financing classes.
Students transferring into the Adult Degree Program (ADP) for their first undergraduate degree with at least 18 hours of college credit accumulated and at least a 3.0 cumulative GPA may be awarded on the following academic scholarship scale.
These award amounts are for the entire year. These awards are for first undergraduate degree only and do not apply to graduate or second degree students. Half the award will apply in the fall and half in the spring.
|3.0 to 3.39 GPA||$1,500|
|3.4 to 3.69 GPA||$2,000|
|3.70 to 4.0 GPA||$2,500|
A student must take at least nine hours (full-time for the Adult Degree Program) to receive any academic scholarship funds. If the nine hours are not reached until the second term, the academic scholarship will not apply to the student's account until the second term.
If you do not enter Lipscomb with an academic scholarship, an adult degree student can qualify for one after earning at least 18 hours of credit. The award will be given according to the scale previously listed.
You must take and complete at least six hours per semester to receive a Federal Stafford Loan. You must file a FAFSA and complete the necessary steps listed on your myLipscomb Financial Aid Award page to receive a Stafford Loan. The loan will be applied in the term in which six hours is taken. If you qualify for a Federal Pell Grant, you must take and complete at least six hours in a semester to have the Pell Grant applied to your account.
