TRANSFER STUDENTS
WELCOME TO LIPSCOMB UNIVERSITY
Your initial award is based on the information that we currently have in our system. If the Admissions Department has not received all official transcripts, your financial aid may have an incorrect loan amount awarded and any institutional funds from Lipscomb may be incomplete. Your final award will be based on all hours earned until you begin classes at Lipscomb. If we receive additional information, your award could change. We recommend you view your award and bill periodically through your myLipscomb account.
Transfer Academic Scholarship scale (yearly amounts) effective Fall 2011 entry:
3.0-3.39 $2,000
3.40-3.69 $3,000
3.70-3.99 $4,000
4.0 $5,000
Your LU GPA will be reviewed at the end of EACH semester. You must maintain a 3.0 cumulative GPA to keep an academic scholarship. The Lipscomb Trustee Academic Scholarship requires a cumulative 3.25 GPA for renewal. Traditional Undergraduate Students must take a minimum of 12 hours per semester to receive institutional aid. If you are placed on probation of any kind, you will lose your institutional aid the following semester. If you did not enter Lipscomb with an academic scholarship, we will be happy to review your GPA after 2 full time semesters and award you based on the scale above.
General Community College Award
Students transferring from a community college into our traditional undergraduate program with at least 30 hours are eligible for the General Community College Award of $2,500 (yearly). You must have a 3.0 cumulative LU GPA to renew this scholarship.
