You MUST meet the following criteria:
Graduate from high school and
§ Be a
§ Enroll in a
Graduate from high school with a 3.0 unweighted overall and college core grade point average (GPA) out of a possible 4.0 OR
§ Score at least a 21 ACT (980 SAT).
Other categories of students may also qualify for the Tennessee HOPE Scholarship.
§ GED applicant must have a 525 GED score and at least a 21 ACT (980 SAT).
§ Students eligible for a waiver of tuition because a parent in the
A FAFSA must be submitted to qualify for this award.
If you did not list Lipscomb University as the first school on your FAFSA for the current award year, you will need to complete the Change of Institution Request form and submit it to the state of Tennessee per instructions on the form.
In order to maintain the HOPE scholarship, you must be continuously enrolled in school. If you will not be continuously enrolled (excluding the summer term) you will need to complete the HOPE Leave of Absence form and submit it to the Financial Aid Office.
If you lost your HOPE scholarship due to grades or other issues, but have now regained eligibility, you must complete the HOPE Scholarship Regain form and return to the Financial Aid Office in order to be considered for the scholarship in a future semester. Regaining the HOPE scholarship is not an automatic process and you will need to complete this form in order to have it investigated.
If you have an appeal to bring before the school and the state of Tennessee concerning eligibility for the HOPE scholarship, you will need to complete the Tennessee HOPE Scholarship Appeal form with supporting documentation and return to the Financial Aid Office.
