Academic Scholarships – These awards are given to first time freshmen, transfers and continuing students. Details about these scholarships are available to incoming students in the most recent Financial Aid Brochure.
Scholarship Exceptions
All Lipscomb University academic scholarships are valid up to 126 ATTEMPTED hours. From time to time, exceptions to the 126 hour rule will be made for students who have unusual or extenuating circumstances. The request for a scholarship extension must be turned in to the Financial Aid Office at least two weeks prior to the start of the semester in question. Extensions will not be made for semesters already in progress.

Scholarship: Request for Awarding or Reinstatment
Regular Undergraduate students who do not enter with an Academic Scholarship may be awarded according to the transfer scale after earning at least 24 hours at Lipscomb. Adult Degree Undergraduate students are awarded after earning at least 18 hours. Only students seeking their first undergraduate degree are eligible for Lipscomb academic scholarships.
When aid has been lost due to cumulative GPA and/or other probation issues, this form is the appropriate method to request reinstatement (if applicable). Need-based aid such as Memorial Scholarships are awarded on a year to year basis and may not be available after the fall term of each academic year.
All requests must be date-stamped into the Financial Aid Office by the “Last Day to Drop Class With a Partial Refund” date as listed on the official calendar. Late requests will be deferred until the following semester (if applicable).

Church of Christ Scholarships
Employment Based Scholarships for Undergraduate Students
Lipscomb University offers tuition awards to first degree undergraduate students whose parent is employed full-time (40 hours per week, primary paid vocation) in certain Christian works that are associated with the churches of Christ. Students must maintain a 2.0 cumulative Lipscomb GPA, live ON campus each semester, enroll full time (12+ hours) each semester, file a FAFSA each year, and provide employment verification annually to the Lipscomb Financial Aid Office. These awards are available to children who are less than 25 years of age and are dependent for federal income tax purposes. Married Children are not eligible. These awards are subject to all GPA and probation restrictions as described in the Lipscomb University Undergraduate Catalog and is available only for the customary duration of an academic program. The scholarships are available to children whose parents are employed in the following full time roles:
Church of Christ Minister
Church of Christ Youth Minister
Church of Christ Missionaries--MUST be living full time in a foreign country
Employed by Member School of the National Christian School Association (K-12) National Christian School Association Directory
Employed by Member School of the National Christian School Association (University Level) National Christian School Association Directory
Please print, sign, secure necessary approvals and return the Employment Verification Form to the Financial Aid Office, attention Tamera Spivey.
Church Match Scholarship Program- Lipscomb University will match any amount up to $500.00 (per year) that a church of Christ contributes to a student's education at Lipscomb.

NEED-BASED AWARDS
Lipscomb University Memorial Awards - A Memorial Scholarship is available to students with demonstrated need, based fully on FAFSA results. Funds are limited and are generally awarded on a first-apply, first-awarded basis. Memorial scholarships are not guaranteed from year to year. Thank You Notes to Donors are required of students who receive Lipscomb memorial awards.
Second Degree Students:
No institutional aid is available to second degree students. Students may qualify for Federal Student Loans Only.
