Managing Your Student Debt

For so many of us taking on student debt it apart of the process when achieving out educational goals. Here at Lipscomb we realize taking on student debt is often the only way to make your schooling possible. When taking on student debt it is important to be aware of how much debt you are taking on, who your lender is, and what life will be like after school paying it off.

Exit Counseling, when you leave Lipscomb you are required to complete Exit Counseling. This is a great first state to financial awareness when it comes to your student debt. Exit Counseling is required for any student who attended Lipscomb University and received a Title IV Federal Stafford loan.  If you received a Federal Stafford loan and are no longer enrolled in at least 6 credit hours at Lipscomb then you are REQUIRED to complete the Exit Interview process. 

Graduating students (undergraduate and graduate) are required to complete Exit Interview Counseling prior to receiving their caps and gowns.

Stafford Loan Exit Counseling sessions for May and August 2013 graduates are planned so that you can complete the Exit Counseling requirement in one place.

Upcoming Exit Counseling Dates:

Tuesday, April 16th, 4:30-5:30 McFarland 101

Wednesday, April 17th, 11:00-12:00 Swang 102

Wednesday, April 17th, 5:30-6:30 McFarland 101

Once you complete the Exit Counseling session, notification will be sent to Lipscomb to in 1-3 days to confirm that you have completed the Exit Counseling requirements.
