Adult Degree

General Financial Aid Policies

 
Students transferring into the Adult Degree program for their first undergraduate degree with at least 24 hours of college credit accumulated and has at least a 3.0 cumulative GPA they may be awarded on the following scale beginning Fall 2011. 
 
 
3.00 – 3.39                  $1500 per year (½ Fall and ½ Spring)
 
3.40 – 3.69                  $2000 per year (½ Fall and ½ Spring)
 
3.70 – 4.00                  $2500 per year (½ Fall and ½ Spring)
 
A student must take at least 9 hours (full-time for Adult Degree) to receive any academic scholarship funds. If the 9 hours are not reached until the second term, the academic scholarship will not apply to the student account until the second term. 
 
If you do not enter Lipscomb with an academic scholarship, an adult degree student can qualify for one after earning at least 18 hours of credit. They will be awarded according to the scale previously listed.
 
You must take and complete at least 6 hours per semester to receive a Federal Stafford Loan. You must file a FAFSA and complete the necessary steps listed on your myLipscomb Financial Aid Award to receive a Stafford loan. The loan will be applied in the term in which 6 hours is taken.  If you qualify for a Federal Pell Grant you must take and complete at least 6 hours in a semester to have the Pell Grant applied to your account.
