Global Entrepreneurship Week

Business Market

On Monday, Nov. 12, and Thursday, Nov.15, Lipscomb students are invited to showcase their very own products and business ideas at a business market from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in Bison Square and Bennett Campus Center.  The center is looking for up to 8 young business people to display their products or services at the market.

The event is designed to raise awareness among students of entrepreneurial opportunities and to give students an experience where they like their own boss.

If you are interested in participating in the Entrepreneurship Week business market, contact Ben Lambert at bilambert@mail.lipscomb.edu or Kristin Matthews at kristin.matthews@lipscomb.edu.

Battle of the Bands

The Center presents the Battle of the Bands on Tuesday, Nov. 13, at 6 p.m. in the Square. The event will feature several Lipscomb-based bands along with local food trucks offering free food for the first 100 students who attend. Free coffee and hot chocolate will also be available along with free T-shirts for the first 100 students to attend.

Creating your own mark in music is not so different from creating your own mark in business. The Battle of the Bands is designed to encourage students to pursue their own venture in business much as the musicians in the bands are pursuing their own ventures in entertainment.

If you are interested in participating in the Entrepreneurship Week Battle of the Bands, contact Ben Lambert at bilambert@mail.lipscomb.edu or Kristin Matthews at kristin.matthews@lipscomb.edu.

Innovation Challenge

Participating students will be given a business-oriented challenge on Friday, November 9 and will have the entire week to work on it as a group. They are required to present an innovative solution by e-mail or video by the end of Entrepreneurship Week Friday, November 16. The winning team will receive a Kindle Fire for each member.
