It's hard to imagine a place so beautiful is in need of anything at all. But Appalachia is more than the fertile soil upon which it stands. It is the people who need cultivation, not the land. There are individuals and families who need the seed of Jesus Christ sown into their hearts and lives. He has given us an opportunity to sow. Would you pick up a hoe and join us?
| We are working with GoodSoil Ministries who has been planting indigenous churches throughout the Appalachian Mountain Range as one of its principal interests. In particular, we will be working with the Jellico Community Church to help refurbish the second floor of an office building which will be used as its meeting place. |
We hope that this will be a long term relationship with GoodSoil to help the people of Appalachia. If you think you have to go to a Third World country to find people in need, you may want to consider the fact that you can find them in your own backyard.
