Guatemala Engineering Mission Trip
May 8th - 17th, 2006
This was our first year to work with Health Talents International, a medical mission in Guatemala and Nicaragua. We were based at their Ezell Clinic in Chicacao, near the city of Mazatenango. There were two main projects associated with this trip.
Suspended BridgeWith the help of our newly found friends in the villages of La Cruz and Chicutzan, we were able to build a 150 ft pedestrian suspended steel cable bridge for the glory of God. The bridge will be used by 10,000 people over the course of a year and approximately 150 people a day. Click here for more information. |
Community OutreachWe visited local schools around the Ezell Clinic, meeting nearly 500 students. With the help of donations from supporters in the states, we gave them needed school supplies, introduced some basic science concepts, and shared the love of Christ. Click here for more information. |
