Program Description

The Master of Education in Special Education is a unique program that will enable you to earn the master's and teaching licensure in Special Education Modified K-12. The program will provide you with coursework in Positive Behavior Support (PBS), Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), and a Response to Intervention (RTI) framework for literacy development. Candidates will develop effective communication and collaboration skills in special education and will master the creation, implementation and use of Individual Education Plans (IEP).

The program can be completed in as little as 18 months or so--longer if you choose to take your time--and is designed to fit your busy schedule with classes on weeknights, Saturdays, online and during the summer. Candidates may also choose to add the license in special education without engaging in the full master's program.

The College of Education also offers an endorsement in Special Education as well as an ABA endorsement and a Master of Science in Applied Behavioral Analysis
