Certificate of Graduate Study
in Counseling Psychology
The Certificate of Graduate Study program is designed for individuals who do not seek to enter the counseling profession but who could benefit from training in counseling. This might include (but is not limited to) professionals in careers such as ministry, education, social work, or health care.
The 15-hour curriculum acquaints students with basic knowledge about counseling and provides an introduction to psychopathology. Beyond this, students should choose electives that are tailored to the type(s) of counseling that are related to their career goals. The required courses are listed below:
