Chemistry Majors and Minors

Our Professional Chemistry major is approved by the American Chemical Society Committee on Professional Training, one of only two such programs among schools affiliated with the churches of Christ (Lipscomb and Abilene) and one of only four private schools in Tennessee (Lipscomb, Fisk, Vanderbilt and Rhodes). American Chemical Society approval is an assurance that the department has a quality, modern curriculum, a qualified faculty, modern instrumentation, a sufficient chemistry collection in the University library and adequate support facilities.
