Emerging Leaders provides on-campus work opportunities for high quality students demonstrating leadership within the student body and an aptitude for success. The student will have the opportunity to work on a departmental initiative to further the services of the university and be mentored by an employee to develop professional skills needed for a successful career.
Qualifications:
- Have completed one semester at Lipscomb University
- Maintain a minimum of a 2.5 GPA
- Students living in a double room in Fanning, Elam, Johnson, High Rise or Sewell and enrolled in the Herd or lower meal plan will be given preferred status.
Requirements:
- Freshman students complete 10 hours of work for 15 weeks during the semester
- Upperclassman complete 15 hours of work for 15 weeks during the semester
- Participate in 3 Professional Development workshops
- Receive a scholarship applied directly to their tuition
- Freshman Level: $1000 Upperclassman Level: $1500
- Students have the option whether or not to receive internship credit for their work
- Present a final presentation of their experience to members of Lipscomb Leadership, Faculty or Staff
