Internships.

An internship is a short-term, supervised learning opportunity providing professional development activities for students while allowing employers to meet short-term staffing needs and gaining an introduction to new talent. Lipscomb University students can participate in internships in any combination of the following options: paid, unpaid, for academic credit, or for experience only while not gaining academic credit.   Please note: If a student is earning academic credit for the internship, he or she will be required to pay for the hours earned.  For this reason, internships that are “unpaid and for credit only” receive the least amount of interest from students.

Review the full requirements for academic credit to be granted to your intern by clicking here.

To submit your internship for academic review by faculty, a requirement for students to receive academic credit, complete the internship submission form.  Your opportunity will be evaluated and posted based on faculty approval and availability of academic credit.  If the internship is not approved for academic credit, it will still be posted online in eRecruiting, but will not indicate academic credit as an option for the intern.

To submit your Experience Only Internship, email the position description and details to careerdevelopment@lipscomb.edu. It will be posted to eRecruiting where interested students will contact you directly if interested in the position.

For additional internship information, contact Allison West, Career Development Coordinator at Allison.West@lipscomb.edu.
