Singarama celebrates its 50th season with this spring's production of

"Timeless"

For 50 years now springtime at Lipscomb has meant Singarama, as more than 16,000 students have participated in the show. It is impossible to measure on an individual basis the sense of accomplishment, the fun, and the friendships that can be attributed to Singarama! Armed only with their category the students in each group develop their story lines, write scripts, choose 8 songs and accompanying choreography, and design and create sets and costumes. The shows, evaluated by a panel of 18 judges, compete in three categories (theme, music, and staging) and in overall sweepstakes points.

There are four performances of Singarama, all in Collins Alumni Auditorium:

Thursday, April 4, 2013 - 7:30 p.m.

Friday, April 5, 2013 - 7:30 p.m.

Saturday, April 6, 2013 - 2:00 p.m.

Saturday, April 6, 2013 - 7:30 p.m.

Tickets are being sold through the University Box Office. Thursday, Friday, and Saturday Matinee tickets are $12 each; Saturday night tickets are $15 each.

Alumni Reunion Lunch - Saturday, April 6. There will be a special alumni reunion lunch from 11:30 a.m.- 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 6, in McQuiddy Gym. Tickets are $13 per person, or you can buy a special combo ticket for lunch and the Saturday Matinee show through the box office online for only $20 total (a $5 savings). Tickets for the lunch only, as well, as 50th year mugs, T-shirts, and DVDs are available online at Singarama merchandise.

Former Directors Reception - Saturday, April 6. A special reception for Singarama's former directors is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m., Saturday, April 6 at Longview. Email singarama@lipscomb.edu for info and to RSVP for the directors reception.
