New Student Express Orientation

New Student Express, Lipscomb University’s fall semester orientation program, will take place on Sunday afternoon, August 18, 2013. Designed to meet the needs of incoming students (both freshmen and transfers), New Student Express is required for all new students who did not take place in ADVANCE and QuestWeek. The program will begin at 12:15 p.m. (CST) on August 18. You’ll eat lunch with fellow new students, faculty, and staff, and with student orientation leaders who will be resources for you during your first semester. During dessert, you’ll hear brief presentations about the essential information you’ll need to maximize your transition to life at Lipscomb.
Campus tours will be available after lunch and the accompanying orientation session If you haven’t already registered for spring classes you will meet with an academic advisor and select your class schedule.Representatives from the Business Office and the Financial Aid Office will be available to assist you. You can also order your textbooks, and the Security Office will be open for you to have your ID made and pick up your parking sticker. You can expect to complete New Student Express by or before 5:00 p.m. Classes will begin the next day, on Monday, August 19.
Payment of the $35 fee (which covers your lunch and session materials) is required when you complete the registration form. (The fee is waived for participants in our Yellow Ribbon Program and other Veterans.) Online registration will be open until noon (CST) on Friday, August 16. Students who haven’t registered and paid by that deadline will register in the Bennett Campus Center lobby at noon on August 18 and will be subject to a $10 late processing fee.
You are welcome to bring your spouse or parents to New Student Express. While guests are not charged a registration fee, there is a $15 charge per guest meal ticket. Meal reservations have to be made no later than noon on Friday, August 16.

Payment of the $35 New Student Express Orientation Fee is required to complete registration; we cannot reserve spaces without payment. (Please have your credit card information ready before completing the next page; if you don't complete the credit card portion of the application you will not be registered for New Student Express.)
