Building on a 119-year heritage of excellence, Lipscomb University offers an intellectually challenging academic program with an emphasis on Christian spiritual formation and global engagement. Lipscomb’s beautiful and growing campus, located in the Green Hills area of Nashville, Tennessee, provides a welcoming setting for learning and a nurturing environment in which students can develop personally and professionally. The Lipscomb community includes a student body of more than 3,000 undergraduate and graduate students from 41 states and 23 nations with a broad diversity of ethnic backgrounds and religious traditions.

Academic Program

Lipscomb University prepares graduates for success in their chosen professions and careers. Students may choose from more than 130 programs of academic study in 66 majors that lead to an undergraduate degree. Lipscomb maintains a 15:1 student-faculty ratio. Every class is taught by a professor, with 92 percent of full-time faculty holding a terminal degree in their fields of expertise.

Exciting new programs and recent honors have broadened our appeal, enhancing the opportunities for Lipscomb graduates. For example, Lipscomb University was named a Top 20 university in U.S. News and World Report’s “2009 America’s Best Colleges” guidebook and has been recognized nationally for the SALT service learning program.
