How can I obtain a copy of my 1098-T tax form?
To view your 1098-T form online, log into your myLipscomb account. Click the "My Account" tab. On the left side of the window, click "Banner Self-Service". Select "Student Services, Registration Process, and Financial Aid", and click on "Student Records". Click on "Select Tax Year", and select the desired tax year. Then click on "Tax Notification". The 1098-T data will appear on your screen.
How can I find out if my payments have been received?
View your bill online at myLipscomb. Log into the secure area using your password and ID number. Click on Banner Self Service, then Student Services, Registration Process & Financial aid; then Registration Process. Go to step 4 to view your statement. Payments will show under "Credits and Payments". If you have payments coming to Lipscomb which are not yet here (Direct Stafford Loan, outside scholarships, etc.), these will show under "Expected Payments." When your payment moves from "Expected Payments" to "Credits and Payments", this means our office has received the payment. What does it mean to be "officially registered"?
Being officially registered means that you have satisfied your financial obligations. If you do not have a zero balance on your statement (Step 4 of the registration process), your schedule is subject to being dropped.
When do I need to be officially registered?
Fall - August 1
Spring - December 1
Summer - May 1
If my scholarships and financial aid awards don't cover my balance, what are my payment options?
We accept checks and cash through the cashier's window, or you may pay online with a credit card or bank account for payment in full. We also have a monthly payment plan through TouchNet. For information on payment plans, go to the Business Office website and click on TouchNet Information. You may also qualify for loans if you have filed a FAFSA. What if I have third party payments and won't have a zero balance until the third party company pays?
You still need to be officially registered by the date posted. Please contact Student Accounts at 615.966.1778, and they will work with you to apply the expected payment to your account.
What if I have received an outside scholarship award (such as the Lion's club, Kiwanis club, etc.) that will not be mailed to Lipscomb until after classes start?
If you have received an outside scholarship award, mail a copy of the letter to the Financial Aid office so they can enter the expected payment.
How do I apply for financial aid?

What if my PLUS loan is denied?
As long as you have filed a FAFSA, you can apply for additional Stafford Loan money through the Financial Aid office (http://financialaid.lipscomb.edu/).
If I apply for more Stafford Loan money, and it is still not enough to cover my balance, what should I do?
You can pay the balance in full, enroll in a monthly payment plan, or apply for Alternative Loans.
What is an Alternative Loan (Signature Loan)?
An alternative loan is an additional loan for which students may qualify to pay for college expenses. For information on these loans, contact the Financial Aid office at 615.966.1791.
What is a FAFSA?
To qualify for Federal Financial Aid, you must file a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). You must file a FAFSA for the Hope Scholarship and memorial scholarships. Go to http://financialaid.lipscomb.edu/ and click on How to Apply For Financial Aid to learn more.
