C. Phillip Choate, M.D.
Professor of Biology

For all of my adult life, I have been able to study and teach the structure and function of the human--both in its normal and abnormal circumstances. It is both a delight and a challenge. The volume of material grows remarkably fast and yet, large portions are quite stable. What more could one seek--a giant database of useful information, an unending future, and applications that improve the lives of students and everybody else. I also have strong beliefs concerning the nature of man and the purpose of life established for the individual. I hope these beliefs add to the values and attitudes of my students. This is why I teach at Lipscomb.
