The Golden Circle was the brainchild of the late Robert G. Neil, lovingly known as “Bro. Bob” by most.
With Bro. Bob spearheading the plans, request for permission was made to hold a fifty-year reunion each year with the 50th anniversary class to become members of an appropriately named group. The name “Golden Circle” was selected, and the board gave formal approval. The first meeting of the Golden Circle was in August, 1980.
The Golden Circle is under the direction of The Golden Circle Strategic Planning Committee. The Golden Circle’s goal is to strengthen ties to the university and bonds with the current student body; to bring honor to Lipscomb and the Lord through involvement in service learning and meaningful humanitarian projects, especially those that relate to the Great Commission and Matthew 25.
