Links for Peer Advisors:

Office of Academic Advising and Support Services: This is the homepage for our office and a good starting point for any student wanting to look through the information that we’ve got posted.

GradMap Instructions: These are basic instructions in .pdf format that were put together by the Registrar telling any student how they can run their own GradMap.  You may find yourself needing to refer to them, or you may be able to point a student towards them.

Class Registration Instructions: As you're working with freshmen (particularly those registering for the spring semester), you may come across one that's misplaced their registration instructions and doesn't remember how to do it.  If that's the case, you can just point them to this page that's put together by the Registrar.

Lipscomb Catalog: The current LU catalog can be looked at/downloaded in parts or in its entirety.  Note that their is also a catalog archive in case you are working with a student who has been here more than a year.

Degree plans:  From this page you can navigate to the 3- or 4-year degree plans.

Major / Advisor Change: If you're working with a student who has not officially declared their major and you realize they have changed their mind about their area of interest, simply point them to this page and we'll get them switched to a new advisor / department.  Typically changes are processed within one business day of their post.

Recommended Introductory Courses: With input from each department, we've put together a list of courses that will give students a good introduction to the different areas and departments.  If you're talking to a student who is struggling with what they want to do, this can be a good jumping off point for them.

Gen Ed Checklist: This is just a simple checklist that students can use along with GradMap to help them make sure they are getting all of their Gen Ed requirements.  Note that the requirements will be slightly different for Education majors.

Bible guidelines: You may find yourself working with a student who is still a little bit unclear on the new guidelines for the Bible requirements.  This is information that Dr. Terry Briley (Dean of the College of Bible) sent out to help clarify the requirements.
