In addition to taking recommended courses for an intro to a given major, there are several other ways you can learn more about the possibilities that a major will offer.
OCCUPATIONAL OUTLOOK HANDBOOK – Not only does this online booklet give you information such as earnings, job prospects, what the job entails, etc…, it also gives you things like info on the job market by state, job search tips, etc… This book is also updated each year, so you can always count on having the most current info.
WHAT CAN I DO WITH THIS MAJOR? – This is a page hosted by UT-Knoxville, and it gives you an idea of the possibilities that each major will provide you. Please keep in mind that because it’s on UT’s site, it will list a few majors that Lipscomb does not offer.
LIPSCOMB CATALOG – As simple as it sounds, take time to look through our catalog and see what each major involves. The page at the beginning of each department will tell you a little bit about that department as well as career opportunities that a major within that area can lead to.
