About Lipscomb
CLEP EXAM INFORMATION
Only Lipscomb students are eligible to take CLEP exams on the Lipscomb campus. (Please note: before taking the test, you will need to pick up a “Permission to CLEP” form from the Registrar’s Office.) Reservations to take the exam can be made through the Counseling and Testing Center at 966-6294 (ext. 6294 if the call is being made on campus). Exams take approximately 2 hours and can be scheduled on Monday through Friday as early as 8:30 a.m. and no later than 2:30 p.m.
The CLEP is a computer-based exam. Immediately after the exam is completed, examinees receive their score. English Composition exams require an additional hand-written essay which is graded by faculty on campus.
If you would like to pick up a practice CLEP test, you can drop by the Lipscomb Counseling and Testing Center (basement of Elam).

Exam Fee - $80.00 per exam

Non-refundable Service Fee - $20.00 per exam

Posting fee - For information on this, contact the Registrar at registrar@lipscomb.edu
CLEP's portion of the fee ($80) may be paide with a credit or debit card directly into the computer. However, Lipscomb's fee ($20) must be cash or check. If desired, it is ok for the total amount to be paid in cash or check payable to Lipscomb University and Lipscomb will pay CLEP on your behalf.

If a student says that they took an AP test, but there is no score in your file:
1. Check with Leland Dugger to see if it somehow got mixed in with remaining scores.
2. Check with the Registrar's Office.
3. Call 1-888-308-0013. (Please warn them that this is an $8 call!)
