Transfer Advance is an orientation program especially designed to meet the needs of new transfer students. All transfers under the age of 21 (as of August 1, 2015) are required to attend both Transfer Advance on August 17-18 and QuestWeek, which immediately follows. During Transfer Advance you will learn about campus resources available to you, eat lunch with other students, faculty and staff, and find out how you can get involved in campus life. If you haven't already registered for your fall classes you will meet with an academic counselor and select your class schedule. QuestWeek Fall Orientation will give you wonderful opportunities to maximize your transition to Lipscomb University and to the Nashville community as well. Signature QuestWeek events include "The Event," (a popular new student dinner); an afternoon of service in the Nashville community; and Initium, a ceremonial welcome to the university's academic community.
Although also required to participate in one of our orientation programs, Transfers 21 and older have these options after payment of the enrollment fee:
- participate in Transfer Advance and QuestWeek
- attend Lipscomb's New Student Express program, an abbreviated version of orientation that will take place on Sunday, August 23 (all classes begin on August 24)
- attend QuestWeek, followed by New Student Express
