Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting
The mission of the accounting program at Lipscomb University is to prepare students for careers in professional accounting and various other opportunities in the business community, to provide a foundation for graduate work, and to help students develop critical thinking skills essential for business decision-making.
Lipscomb University’s accounting program emphasizes the development of excellent communication, team building, and problem solving-skills. The program has experienced a 100 percent job placement rate for accounting graduates in recent years, and has established a proven track record of preparing students for the CPA examination. Students are prepared for diverse career opportunities not only within public and private accounting, but also in public companies, private companies, government institutions, and not-for-profit organizations.
Through the Adult Degree Program, an undergraduate major or minor in accounting can be completed by taking classes in the evenings or online. In addition, students who have already obtained a bachelors degree can prepare for the CPA examination by taking the required accounting pre-requisites.
