Weber Hall of Fame Induction
Lipscomb Academy assistant football coach, Josh Weber, will be inducted into the University of Mount Union M Club Hall of Fame on Saturday, October 27, 2012. Weber, a 1997 graduate, will be inducted based on his outstanding football accomplishments.
Criteria for induction is strict, inductees must have earned a degree from Mount Union and earned at least two letters in one sport. According to Mount Union, “the record of the proposed inductee must be exemplary in both performance and in character. There must be no question as to the deserving qualities that the inductee possesses."
"I was very surprised to receive that phone call! To be recognized in this way means a lot to me. I can't help but think about all of my teammates who came together to form some amazing teams over my four years there. I feel very honored to be remembered at Mount Union many years after I have been gone,” said Weber.
As a player, Weber played on 2 national championship teams, was a 3 year starter on the offensive line, a 2 time all-American and in his senior year won the Mike Gregory award for most outstanding offensive lineman in the Ohio Athletic Conference.
“After spending time around Josh for the last several years it does not surprise me in the least that he is being awarded this high honor. Josh is an outstanding classroom teacher and coach. He is a person of immense talent and character,” said Dr. Mike Roller, Associate Headmaster for Athletics and Student Life.
