Budgeting
Planning and organizing a mission trip budget can be a daunting task even for the most financially capable of team leaders, much less those who prefer to steer clear of dealing with money. Taking time to properly plan your team’s budget on the front end of your trip planning is a crucial step to ensuring that your team’s finances stay within reason. Your assigned Lipscomb Missions point-of-contact will work alongside you to design your budget – what to include, what not to include, how to adjust your budget mid-stream, etc…
As a team leader, many people are reliant upon you to be a good steward of the finances that you’ve been entrusted with – from students working hard to raise money, to families working hard to earn the money; from churches supporting their very own, to corporations sending a matching gift – we expect your leadership to provide a sense of transparency and financial accountability
In order to receive the full allocated amount for the Team Leader Subsidy, not only is it imperative to turn in a pre-trip budget, but for 2012 trips it will be required that you have turned in a 2011 trip expense report too.
