Our first event of the academic calendar year, IcecreamaLUza is an event specifically catered to freshmen and transfer students who are interested in learning more about Lipscomb Missions and the opportunities available to them through our program. Team leaders not only provide homemade ice cream, but also themselves as sources of information for students who may be hearing about Lipscomb Missions for the first time! Please join us for this event as we kick off the 2011-2012 year. | |

Come see the exciting things happening with Lipscomb Missions at DISCOVER! You will have the chance to experience many of the unique cultures of the 40+ trips and 20+ countries in which we serve through food, pictures, and interaction. Listen to first-hand stories from our students about how God is working through them as they reach out to serve those in need and share Christ and his love throughout the world. Learn about the opportunities available for you to become involved, whether you are a student, faculty, staff, alumni, or member of the local community! | |
| Team Leader Training | Saturday, September 24th, 8:30 am (Ezell 241) | ||

During this time of preparation prior to the Missions Fair, all team leaders (primary, secondary, and student) will gather together to begin our training process. The day will consist of guest speakers, small group work/discussion, and other activities that will enhance the effectiveness of your responsibility as a team leader, no matter how little (or much) experience you may have. Your leadership's attendance is required in order to be eligible for a portion of the team leader subsidy. | |
| Missions Fair | Tuesday, October 4th, 6 pm (Student Center) | ||

At the Missions Fair, your mission trip will have a table reserved in the student center for you and/or former team members to set up and use as a promotional tool for beginning the formation of your team. You will have the evening to share information about your trip, recruit potential team members, and invite students to learn more at your team's info session. | |
| Mission Team Info Sessions | October 5th - 30th | ||

|
Mission team info sessions serve as a time to share more details about your trip, connect again with students you met at the missions fair, and start to form your team/begin your application process. Each team's info session will be scheduled at a different time so as to avoid conflict among potential team members wishing to attend multiple info sessions. |

| Commitment Week | October 31st - November 4th | ||

As Commitment Week comes around, your team should be formed and team members will register online and pay their trip deposits. Encourage your team members to complete these steps during this week so that pre-trip preparation can continue to move forward. | |

This training session will build upon Team Leader Training Day with new activities and information. Your leadership's attendance is required in order to be eligible for a portion of the team leader subsidy. | |

Join us in celebrating Winter Break Launch, where we will encourage and send off all of our winter break mission teams through an uplifting time of worship, prayer, and fellowship. | |
| Spring Missions Fair | Thursday, January 12th, 6 pm (Student Center) | ||

|
The Spring Missions Fair serves as an additional time of promotion and recruiting for teams that are not yet at full capacity. Spring break and summer mission teams will be represented in the student center by team leaders, past participants, and others. Students will have the opportunity to meet each team leader and learn more about each of the mission efforts that are still in need of additional team members. | |

| Spring Break Mission Trips | March 15th - 25th | ||

|
|
Beginning March 15, hundreds of participants on more than 20 different teams will depart to locations in Europe, the Caribbean, Central America, and across the U.S. on spring break mission trips. Teams will serve God by serving others through medical assistance, construction, community outreach, and many other activities, building lasting relationships founded in Christ all along the way. | |

Join us in celebrating Summer Launch, where we will encourage and send off all of our summer mission teams through an uplifting time of worship, prayer, and fellowship. | |
| Summer Team Leader Info Session | Tuesday, May 1st, 5 pm (Ezell 363) | ||

|
Final details and information for only summer team leaders. Your leadership's attendance is required in order to be eligible for a portion of the team leader subsidy (summer only). | |
| Summer Mission Trips | May - August | ||
|
|
||
|
|
During the summer months, members of more than 20 mission teams will travel to places on 6 of the 7 continents for anywhere from 2 weeks to 2 months. Some teams will continue to nurture long-term relationships that have been built over the years while others will begin forming relationships in new locations. Teams will serve via medical relief, engineering projects, assisting orphanages, teaching/providing encouragement to local churches and communities, and many other forms of ministry. | |
