A few hours south of the California/Mexico border you will find in Ensenada, Mexico a place known as the City of Children. The City of Children, the parent organization of Baja Missions, was created to save troubled children of Mexico from poverty and abuse and raise them in a loving Christian environment so they can come to know our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.....(more)

This spring break trip will focus on helping the Appalachia Habitat for Humanity build houses around Robbins, Tennessee. Lipscomb has a well-established relationship with the Appalachia affiliate of Habitat for Humanity, contributing for the past 14 years to the progress of several houses in various ways, including installing windows, building doorframes, roofing, painting, and doing home repairs.....(more) | ||||||||||

An expansion and result of the Guatemala medical and engineering trips, this medical mission trip to the Ulpan valley in Guatemala serves as a ministry to the Kekchi Mayans. In Guatemala, we partner with Health Talents International for a medical mission trip providing aid and ministering to the Quiche Indians on the coast. They will be doing daily medical clinics in rural villages throughout the week. For many years now Lipscomb has sent out a medical mission team to Tegucigalpa, Honduras. A total of thirty-nine people including pre-med students (who gain practical experience), Spanish students (who are invaluable as translators), doctors, pharmacists, and other medical professionals spend a week attending to over 1,500 patients and distributing over 6,000 prescriptions in different clinics, as well as in a nursing home and two orphanages.....(more) | ||||||||||

In the spring of 2001, there were approximately 50 Lipscomb University students on a waiting list to serve the Lord over their spring break. Most of them waited to be contacted, but there was no place for them to go. Many people prayed from that time on for more opportunities to serve and share the gospel over spring break. This is the 12th year Lipscomb has had the opportunity to travel to New York City (the Bronx) to work with Camp Shiloh in the public school system on spring break. The mission work will consist of working with/tutoring elementary school students on a one-on-one basis in New York City public schools as well as working within the classes your student is in. If you serve on the UK Newport team, you will have the opportunity to serve alongside a local church that has a vibrant children's ministry. This will be the 10th year Lipscomb University will host a team to the Dutch island of Saba. The size of the island is only 5 square miles. Although the scenery is breathtaking, the people are the reason we keep coming back every year excited to serve. Every year our goal is to strengthen families, teach morality, and encourage works of service among the residents. Through our worship and study together, locals have increasingly shown more and more curiosity and desire for a deeper understanding of the Bible.....(more) | |||
