Nestled in the heart of South America is a charming country called Paraguay. This special country, slightly smaller in size than the state of California, has a population of about seven million people. The capital city of Paraguay is Asuncion – a bustling metropolis with a population of over one million people. In 2003, the Sacramento Street church of Christ was planted in Asuncion. The congregation there is alive and growing.

This team will have an opportunity to experience the rich culture of Paraguay (which will no doubt include lots of soccer playing), build relationships with our Paraguayan brothers and sisters, perform children’s theatre in open area venues, eat lots of Chipa and drink lots of Yerba Mate for two whole weeks. This team will be there to encourage the church and provide more visibility for the church as we perform theatre shows in open area plazas throughout the city of Asuncion. We will provide support and encouragement to the Christians in Paraguay as well reach out to the local community. Members of this team will return to the U.S. as the ones encouraged by being a part of the Lord’s work already going on in Paraguay. Showing the love of Jesus, building friendships and spending time together with the people of Paraguay will be a blessing to all for years to come!
