Mission Trips

Coban, Guatemala (Med)
Spring Break 2013

An expansion and result of the Guatemala medical and engineering trips, this medical mission trip to the Ulpan valley in Guatemala serves as a ministry to the Kekchi Mayans. The focus of this trip is to provide basic medical and dental care to the Kekchi Indian population in villages spread throughout the remote Ulpan Valley (located a couple of hours outside the city of Coban). Over the course of the week, we will set up clinics in three different villages. This is a work that demands students that are willing to "rough it." We have very few facilities and the work is physically demanding, but very rewarding as we impact the lives of patients who have never been seen by a doctor or dentist before in their lives. For more information on the long-term ministry in the Ulpan Valley, please visit the following link: Project Ulpan.
